outfit: self portrait

I mentioned last week that I snagged my first Self Portrait dress recently on mega sale and here it is! When I realized there was a ton on sale I reached out to my friend who has a ton of SP dresses for sizing info. I usually wear a 4-6 on the bottom and anywhere from a 0-4 on top just depending on the brand. With this pretty good difference in top bottom sizes I find it really hard to find dresses, the bottom is either too tight and the top fits or the top is huge and bottom is perfect. I ended up going with a 4 in this dress and it is pretty perfect! The straps may need to be pinned a little and after a few months at the gym I will feel a little more confident in it hah!

Buying things months in advance or out of season isn't usually my way to go because I am so in need of immediate gratification  but I couldn't pass this up. With that I would suggest stalking designer sales until what you want goes on sale especially if it is a season-less piece like this dress. Right now The Outnet has a lot of SP & ASOS! There are a few brands I will stalk until the end of the season because I know I will wear it months after a retailer deems it 'out of season!'
