Glossier Review
My mom always called me the perfect consumer. I'll fall for anything because of its branding and marketing. And the second I saw the color scheme and packaging of Glossier I knew I was a fan. One of my dear friends Katie even said 'I can't figure out if they actually have good products or just unreal marketing'. Well I am here to say they have good product and here is my take on each one i have:
Milky Jelly Facewash: I have talked about this before but it really does get all of your makeup off! Use it on dry skin, rub your eyes, yours lips your whole face will be super clean but without the feeling that wipes leave. It never irritates my skin and leaves it ready for the next steps! You can also use it on damp skin for a more moisturizing wash. Worth the $
Rose Face Mist: 'wait but don't mists make your makeup fall or leave marks where the mist hits?!' Nope they don't! I carry this bottle in my purse and will use it throughout the day when I am feeling my skin has either gotten blah or is dried out. Worth the $ and lasts long time.
Balm dotcom Rose: The scent and mild tint alone are enough for me! I have super dry lips and have had the gross habit of picking at them since the day I can remember ....soo I don't think I have said a chapstick has changed my lips since my la mer review but that stuff is $50! So all in all its a great chapstick with side benefits. Enjoy but don't think i'll buy again unless I'm getting other things.
The Supers Serum: I was super hesitant about buying these at first and read a ton of reviews. I got Super Pure on my own and won the entire pack in an instagram giveaway! Super Pure is still my favorite and mainly for one reason, the consistency. Super Bounce (plumps and softens) is suuuper thick, making it difficult to get out of the dropper and Super Glow (brighten and energizes) is suuuper liquid-y falling down your face before you can put the dropper down. Leaving Super Pure as the winner because it has the normal serum feel! I struggle the most with redness and I think Super Pure does a good job at calming my skin in the AM. TBH I can't tell you much about the others..I don't see a huge difference with serums in general except for how my skin feels. And my skin feels great with all of them. How many times can I type super?! eye roll. Great $ value
Stretch Concealer: 100% OBSESSED! I have used higher end concealers from Dior and Nars and was unimpressed so I went back to my tide and true Revlon Photo Ready stick. Go back to a few months ago when I got this on a whim and am so happy I did. My pale ass got the lightest one and the color matches perfectly and blends like a dream! As I chatted about in the last skin care post I am not wearing foundation as much and not all concealers blend to where you don't see a line. Also I can't see the bottom of the pod yet and have been using it daily for at least 3 months. Worth it- $ is in-between Sephora and Walgreens.
Boy Brow: This is coming from someone who hasn't waxed or plucked their eye brows in maybe 8 years? I guess it's because mine aren't dark it was never a 'thing' for me. A few years ago I got a mac eye shadow to fill them in but realized that's the stupidest thing because you can see the powder! Boy Brow looks like mascara and is really build-able which is nice depending how bold you are feeling. Again, enjoy but will be a add on for my top products.
NEWEST: Rich Moisturizer: The hype on this lotion was biiigg everyone was calling it 'rich' and creamy and it is! The packaging is up to Glossier standards which I wasn't worried about but I hadn't used any of their creams before (they only have one other that is more a primer). I slathered it on last night and it felt amazing, super soft but not heavy! I woke up this morning with super soft even toned skin!
Which do you use and love?
