The Locus of Style : The theory that how one gets dressed each day is from the mixture of personal desires and what is socially/environmentally appropriate.
This [self] created term, by Emily, is a play on the psychology theory 'the locus of control' which states that people attribute things to either the person or the situation.
Emily was raised in Houston, Texas which is apparent by her big hair and sweet but sassy nature. After spending time in the Mid-West for college and a quick stint on the East Coast she spent almost 4 years in Nashville (farewell letter to Nashville) and is now back in Houston. The Locus of Style was started in 2010 as an outlet for her love for fashion and was fueled by Cheeto Puffs and iced coffee in her College library. Today it is a place where you can find, outfit ideas, the best pieces from a 150 page online sale, amateur beauty tips and more!

The Locus of Style works with many different affiliate programs, which means if you buy the product I receive a small commission. This does not mean I am only posting about products in hope that you will buy them, all items posted about are because I want to be sharing them with you and genuinely do like them. The Locus of Style will on occasion receive free product from marketers that will be showcased, again nothing is posted that I do not support or love. Advertisements may also be run concerning these products from companies for which sometimes compensation is received.
