Her Locus

mas-quoteI know it's been a while since there was a Her Locus series post, but it's back and with the ahmazing Mary Summers of M.A.S Fashion. Her blog was one of the first I ever started reading years ago and I have never taken her off my blogroll. Her style is so relatable and simplistically perfect. I can always turn to her blog to give me inspiration with pieces I already have in my closet...which totally makes sense considering what her 'her locus' is! If you need a refresher Her Locus, it is about the center of ones closet, that piece you will never separate with and that you probably wear more than once a week!

What is the locus of your closet? A basic white t-shirtWhen did you first purchase this item? I have been buying basic t-shirts since before I can remember but it was only recently I started investing in higher quality, designer brands.Have you ever had to replace or replenish? I have! It is such a wardrobe staple that I don't mind having to replenish although since buying higher quality, I replenish a lot less.Do you think this item is something that friends would say is "so her!"?  Oh, most definitely. My style is very basic and easy so I live in my basic t-shirts. There is something so timeless and versatile about a little, white, T. Dress it up or down, it always works! What makes you keep going back to it? The easiness of it. I love wearing it with leather pants and a black blazer or cut-off jeans and sandals. There are hundreds of ways to style it. I am not sure I can think of any other piece that is quite as versatile. If [hypothetically] your new adorable hubby forced it in the "giveaway pile" what item could fill the void?     A black or grey shirt? haha! Maybe a very blousy and relaxed, white, silk button-up. It has the same easiness and versatility, although I would rather stick with my t's : )
