slightly preppy fall layers

This outfit came together when I was staying at my parents for Thanksgiving and didn't know we would be going out Friday night. The sweater alone with partial leather leggings was meh so to my brothers closet it was. The man has more white button downs so I went for one that was in between casual and formal so it was a little lighter under a sweater. Anyone else find that they become a little preppier in the fall/winter? Something about the layers, I am more drawn to more conservative/classic pieces vs loose boho looks.Highland Park during the holidays is probably one of my favorite things about Houston. The giant bows and lights mixed with the palm trees get me every time.
