Oh geez yep that is my belly button...how do I think I am?!
This was one of those outfits that can about accidentally, I was trying on the top to go with a specific (high waisted) skirt, took said skirt off, put back on my jeans and was like 'hey wait I like this'. Sometimes I feel like the best outfits come about that way, they are both genuinely not thought out and give off the 'I just threw this on' look. Oh yes I should address the crop top....I always always joked at them never thinking I would ever in a million years rock one but the wanna be cool girl in me won and I am now a convert. Don't expect to see them all the time or even often, and to those of you thinking 'maybe she should take that off and never rock wear a crop top again' first off rude and secondly there is a possibility I will feel like the same in a few weeks and be embarrassed of this post....or not and could wear it or another again!
Beginners Guide to a Crop Top:
If you are scared of crop tops but want to try them I suggest starting with a crop tee, something boxy like this one that doesn't always expose your stomach but just a slight amount. It will get you more comfortable with the idea of not having your waist band covered, which is the main thing I think we are afraid of. Also bring out your mid-rise or high-rise jeans that have a looser fit. Avoiding the skin tight jeans will give you the extra boost of confidence because: one, those jeans are usually a little too tight around the waist equaling in dare I say a muffin top that we are used to ignoring because we have a longer flowy shirt on! Secondly because you stomach will indeed be saying hello to the world you can balance out that exposure with looser jeans.
