OUTFIT: BASICS COLLIDE
This past weekend Virginia and I went downtown and I couldn't decide what to wear and ended up in my Cami NYC, black jeans, denim jacket and booties....classic Emily! Have you ever felt that 'going out' outfits are ten times harder?! You want to feel confident but I have found that often times what I am confident in isn't always what a random guy at a bar is going to be into! Not saying I dress for men because I really do dress for myself but every once in a while we dress for the strangers at a bar. spoiler: i talked to no guys that night ha.
This is not super relevant to this outfit but goes to classic you outfits and for me, boyfriend jeans, loafers a white shirt and denim jacket feel like my security blanket. These items are a mix of splurge and save. The denim are AG and are so darn comfy.Top from COS which is my #1 for basics they have great quality and good prices. Shoes stand by my rule of:
'Trend don't always need to be indulged with high price tags'
and are Nine West and have lasted me season after season. This jacket was such a random purchase, the day before I got it I purchased a faux leather jacket from Nordstrom that 'all the bloggers had' but I wasn't obsessed with. I was at the mall and went into the Coach outlet where an employee was like 'we just got this jacket in from the full line store and its $200'....tried it on and it was fate. The faux one for half that price went back to Nord the next day.
Aka wait out for a random deal before settling on something that you will wear all the time.
