Korean Skin Care
Last weekend I was at dinner with a friend and she was telling me about Soko Glam- because I clearly was out of the loop on this website- after I came home the two watermelon cocktails kicked in and I was in a deep dive. Reading descriptions, watching videos....creating my new 10 step skin care routine. Well it isn't really 10 because I don't do eye cream, sheet masks or sunscreen every or any night haha.If you don't want to spend the time doing all of this reading, they have an option where the site will curate a 10 step plan for you!So, after gathering my products I was so excited that I couldn't wait however long the shipping would take and took to amazon ;) I found every single product for the same price or even a few dollars less + prime shipping so it was a no brainer...sorry Soko! The products arrived Sunday and I have been using them every night since. step 1: makeup remover/oil based: I accidentally got one that says lips/eyes on it but Soko says it can be used for all over the face...TG. As I posted about, here, i enjoy an oil-based product to remove my makeup and this one feels great!step 2: water based cleanser: my face feels beyond clean after this wash, you don't need a lot + the package is big so it's a win! I will say it was kind of weird using such a thick cleanser after having used Glossier Milky Jelly for so long which is soooo light!step 3: exfoliate: this is where the video watching came in...and ultimately sold me because it is SO cool. You may have seen my instagram story but it really foams up without falling off and rinses off in a thick clay consistency. The package comes with a clear piece, don't throw it away! It is to put on top to ensure it stays fresh and doesn't dry out. My face feels ever so slightly tight afterwards but in a goodbye pores way. I have been alternating this with my Dr.Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads! step 4: toner: I had seen people post about beauty water before and since it was an option I went for it! It feels really gentle on the skin and I have been pouring it on a cotton ball with a heavy hand and it is not needed.step 5: essence: this is what they call the "core" of Korean skin care...and since I was already here I figured why not get the SNAIL one! It is 100% slightly slimey but just go with it. Only flaw is it takes a while to seep into skin.step 6: treatment: TBH I got confused by everything at this point and I am just realizing I haven't been using this and thought it was a moisturizer that I had deicded to return...WHOOPS! So I have nothing to share here excetpt for the fact I am a do do sometimes.step 7: sheet masks: do as you please. I didn'get any because I have a few in backstock.step 8: I have never seen a result for an eye cream so...passstep 9: moisturizer: yeah so when I was ordering all of this in my tipsy state I decided to skip this because I have soo many. In my sober state I was like oh I got the moisturizer I don't need this and kept it in the box to return...because again TBH my internet was being weird my first night doing all of these steps and I clearly forgot all about "step treatment". SO I have been using a moisturizer I already have....all in all: I have been waking up with such even toned skin and my pores defintely feel tighter and smaller! I will report back with edits after a few days of using the treatment...if amazon lets my cancell my return request...whooops!
