Hump Day Thoughts//Whole30 Update
So I am now on day 8 of Whole30 and I have to say it's going pretty great! Many blogs have laid out different timelines on how your mood and energy levels will be and they are pretty accurate. On day 3 I was so down and sad...legit withdraws from sugar it was bizzare that my body/emotions were reacting that way. Besides that it has been a positive experience, before this I had little to no cooking motivation or knowledge. I rarely made myself dinner that wasn't mac n' cheese or something along those lines. I either ate out, my roommate cooked or I ate popcorn. Now I am ten times more confident in the kitchen and am learning so much because I am forced to cook because eating out/fast food is not a option anymore. Well it is but if you don't get a nice and understanding waitress it's just embarrassing and a pain in the butt. For those of you wondering what the hell is she eating here is a slight general breakdown: For breakfast I do 2 eggs, fruit and coffee with coconut milk. Lunch is usually a piece of chicken, avocado, nuts and dried fruit. Dinner has been the most "fun", Sydney and I have been experimenting a little bit but it has been a lot of fish, chicken and tons of roasted veggies. Last night we/she made spaghetti squash with turkey meatballs and although I am writing this as she cooks I can say it smells hella good! Oh and dessert....banana/apple with almond butter or dried mango.
