beauty routine

make up tray keihls lotion SONY DSCThis perfect lucite tray sits on my bathroom counter and homes the only few items I use on a daily basis. For the longest time I had a big ole make up full of every piece of make up I owned. More recently I downgraded into a smaller bag only holding the items I actually use, actually being the key word here. Do you have that? A make-up bag full of fun things but in reality you only use less than half of them? I cannot bring myself to throw it all away because who knows, maybe one day I will use that cool blue eye liner or random foundation. But to simplify (and keep cleaner and more organized) I decided to throw that big ole bag to the side (in that cute blue stack of bins you can see in the first picture) and just keep the daily items out for display and easy access.

Now the routine:

Night// I wash my face with the Laura Mercier Face Polish every night. It is the perfect balance of scrub and softness, from someone with super duper sensitive skin I highly recommend this wash. Then I remove my now serious goth look with a simple oil free makeup remover on a cotton pad.

Morning//Afternoon//Whenever I decide to get myself together:

Starting with the Kiehls face lotion that is an anti aging...gotta start early right?! Well actually this is the first face lotion that I have ever used consistently. I was just never into it and hated the way they felt on my face until I was introduced to this baby, big price tag with great results!

Then to add to the "anti aging" routine I use Laura Mercier tone perfecting cream under my eyes. My under eyes are a mess, like looks like I was punched all purple and blue down there. So with that,  I will rarely leave the house sans a good under eye concealer, so anything I can do to help this I will try.

Now comes the makeup a very simple routine I like to think// A light feeling but great coverage foundation, a few puffs of powder to the set the foundation and the red blotchy face is bye bye . Then one of two blushes: super adorable pink or Nars Orgasm. When I use the super pink (the Chanel Cream)  I use a sponge and then blend it with a finishing brush cause no one wants to look like a clown! Top it off with a little lot of mascara (it's the southern girl in me, I layer that shit on!) and you are good to go!
